Highly Integrated TMR Magnetic Sensors

Driven by the rapid development of modern technology, magnetic sensing now plays a crucial role in applications such as heading information for navigation, as well as angle, current, and leakage sensing for electric vehicles and smart grids. Today's advanced applications demand high sensitivity, a wide dynamic range, low power consumption, high temperature stability, and a compact footprint.

Conventionally, TMR sensors have been manufactured using multi-chip designs—even for a single sensing direction, due to the need for multiple pinning directions. This makes achieving a compact size and precise orthogonality highly challenging. iSentek possesses the core technology to build a full Wheatstone bridge by integrating TMR elements onto a single chip. We can integrate multiple direction-pinned TMR elements into one chip, or use single-pinning-direction TMR elements to construct full Wheatstone bridges for multi-directional sensing. These core technologies solve the traditional challenges associated with TMR, paving the way for its ubiquitous use in upcoming advanced applications.
