iSentek is one of the few companies in Taiwan with a proven track record in the mass production of MEMS E-Compass sensing components. The electronic compass currently promoted by iSensitek, the IST8303, utilizes the AMR sensing principle, which offers higher accuracy compared to the Hall effect. It is packaged using a BGA method measuring 1.6x1.6x1.0 mm3, which is the mainstream specification in the current electronic compass market.
At a 10Hz sampling rate, its power consumption is approximately 89uA, which is about 1/2 ~ 1/3 the level of major international manufacturers. At the same time, its anti-magnetic interference design features a hardware de-gaussing circuit design, freeing users from having to perform the "figure-8" hand gesture calibration motion. This is an industry first, making it much more convenient for consumers to use.
iSensitek IST8303 Specification Table

iSentek has completed the development of a software gyroscope. The IST8303 can be paired with an accelerometer from any brand, utilizing its proprietary in-house algorithm to achieve software gyroscope functionality. In terms of accuracy performance, iSensitek's software gyroscope can already meet the application needs of Augmented Reality and gaming on smartphones. It is expected to see widespread adoption in the low-to-mid-range smartphone market, saving customers approximately 0.7 USD in hardware costs and increasing value-added potential.
